Having travelled to Kenya multiple times, I’ve witnessed firsthand how much impact compassionate surgical care can make. This mission involved three days of back-to-back surgeries followed by two clinic days. The team operated on cases including compressive goitre, submandibular tumour, vascular lip tumour with facial disfigurement, and special tonsil cases. Teamwork truly makes the dream work. After an inspiring week of care, I capped off the mission with a climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, an unforgettable finish to an incredible experience.
